What makes us brave

Everyone's work together (Copyright Hanna Andersson)

It's soon a whole year since I sent my accordion Moleskine out and I haven't received it back with me yet. I am so curious of what it will hold... So party on our one year anniversary for our little exchange? Soon it will be ending, at least for me. This week I've sent out Ronny's book to Hong-Kong and that will be my last entry. Another year would be a stretch for this group I think.

In her book Ronny is asking the question What makes you brave? - another difficult question that I have no answer for, I'm not even sure I am brave... but I did try to portrait my best guess in words and images, a pink art journal entry for bravery and guts.

What makes you brave? Take care and be brave!

Silver lining in the mail

Kira's moly-x-28 book I picked up Kira's beautiful little moly at the post office today. Thanks Dawn for sending it, I enjoyed looking at both your and Kira's pages. :-) Now, I need to ponder what silver lining my dark clouds do bring...

Dawn is typography to me

In Dawn Sokol's moly

This blog has been un-appropriately (!) neglected by all of us during this round-robin moly-exchange-thing. I guess it's because Ronny is sick and both me, Kira and Dawn have very active blogs (and other projects) of our own that takes up a lot of time. The exchange is continuing anyway and books are being filled.

In Dawn Sokol's moly

Dawn's book came to visit me here in Sweden in September and it's already with Ronny in Hong-Kong as I write this. I did take pictures before I sent it off and here is the proof of that today. Enjoy and please comment if you visit this blog! Thanks!

When I think of Dawn I think of typography, I guess it's because she uses words and letters so much as her art form in her journals! In the first pages of her own Moly she has written names of countries in different colors and nothing more. It makes a visually interesting spread and I couldn't continue with anything else than, that's right; letters and words.

I choose to cut out words from magazines instead of writing them myself.

In Dawn Sokol's moly

I have no idea how I picked out these words. I think I took words that had a nice font, color and/or meaning to them. Words that sounds nice, sat something nice or interesting or is just plain fun to look at!

I have no moly to play in yet so I'll see what happens next!

Traveling Happiness Moly

I bought a shiny new Moleskine Pocket Japanese Accordian Album at the paper store at NK in Stockholm in June. I have created my first two "spreads" in this very cool folded book, and sent it away to Hong Kong!

My spread looks like this:

My first pages in Moly-x-28

and it continues on to the second spread:

My first pages in Moly-x-28

My theme is happiness and I've called this book The Traveling Happiness Moleskine! I hope each member will do what ever makes them happy in this book! Write a list about what makes you happy, paint the dog or weather or what ever that makes you happy or just doodle, collage or... just try to smile and create! ;-)

This is how it looked when I sent it away:

Not much...

I wonder how bulky and beautiful it will be when it returns to me? I feel like telling all the x-28-members to hurry up! Do your stuff and sent each book away fast - I want to see, feel, make, create! Now! But I guess we all have a lot of stuff in our lives that we need to attend to too.

This is my whole book right now:

My first entry
I like the forward motion, it so fits the book style and I hope it invites to continues fun!

Looking forward to doing another spread in the next book to arrive... soon I hope.
